Growing Like a Weed

Our last baby is growing up to be our biggest baby thus far.  He started out bigger than the other children and is growing like mad.  At 6 weeks he was 12 1/2 pounds and growing more each day.

We were hoping to have just one child who didn't suffer from reflux, but honestly, where is the fun in that? Cooper is a very proficient puker and his cries make his Dad's skin crawl.  But, if you just hold him and never put him down - he is a happy camper.  We are logging lots of hours in the Baby Bjorn.  I get quite a workout from the squats and extra weight I carry around all day.

Cooper developed an awful skin condition that covered him from head to toe.  These ugly, inflamed, red spots started at his head and face and daily worked their way south.  Who knew that all we needed to do was was his hair with Selsun Blue?  It was the miracle medicine. Lucky for us all, his skin is lovely once again and I no longer fear that Cooper's nickname will be "Scarface" as the urge to pick at his crusty little dots was at times irresistible.
This was in the beginning
The spots are spreading...we stopped taking a lot of photos about here
I'm doing much better.  After the problems with the spinal headache and the blood patch, I developed mastitis.  After a couple of days of antibiotics, I started to feel better - until I spiked a fever of 103 that wouldn't come down. I became quite sick rather quickly and was so grateful for the help from Marc, and my Mom and my Dad. After the threat of being admitted to the hospital again, and some major antibiotics, I turned a corner and haven't looked back.

Coleman, Campbell and Addison are LOVING having a new baby in our home. They can't get enough of him.  He truly completes our family.
The adoration began in the hospital
"I haven't even dropped him once!"
"Wonder what he's thinking"

We love him when he sleeps. We love him when he is awake. We love watching him take a bath. We love every bit of him.
