February Catch Up

CHRISTMAS IN FLORIDA

Someday I will feel like I am catching up on my life - in the meantime, here is the latest on the Hones.

Cooper continues to surprise us as he races through clothing sizes and makes our arms tremble as we lift him and tote him around.  He has discovered that he can cover quite a bit of ground as he rolls all over the place.  It is now the family challenge to keep all small items away from Cooper.  We are praying that his teeth come in, in the hopes that it might mean sleep again for the rest of us.  And, he will finally be seeing a dermatologist next week to deal with the yeast that has plagued him since he was 2 months old.

Addison has become quite a character as well as Cooper's 2nd mother.  I've been very lucky to have her around.  Her writing and drawing has improved as she "practices her homework" everyday.  She still seems eager to catch up to her brothers and it is sweet to see how loving they can be with her and include her in their little escapades.  Gymnastics is still going great and Addison proudly displays her new tricks all throughout the house.

Campbell was so apprehensive about starting the Gifted Program (G.P.) but now he sings songs about how excited he is to go.  He only goes on Thursday and Friday but the countdown begins on Monday - he just can't wait.  It may be that he is the only student in his class so he revels in the attention but we are thrilled that he is so happy.  He is coming a little more out of his shell all the time and has made many new friends in his Kindergarten class.  We are proud to announce that Campbell was able to climb the rope in Gymnastics all the way to the top of the ceiling and honk the horn!  It was quite an accomplishment and shows fabulous improvement.

Coleman is loving school!  He is quite the little social butterfly.  He loves G.P., he loves his regular class, he loves P.E. - he is just loving all of it!  But the first thing he can't wait to talk about every day after school is 4 square.  He has become quite the pro and is moving up the ranks - thrilling in the days that he gets a 5th grader out.  He also continues to improve in Gymnastics and is becoming so strong.

Marc & Aimee are hanging in there.  Life with a new baby really throws you for a curve.  You'd think after three kids we would have the hang of it but each one is so different and the more you have - the less time you have for yourself.  Work continues to go well for Marc.  He is confidently taking over more and more at IAI which bodes well for going back to Utah.  Addison, Cooper and I all go into work once a week to try and immerse ourselves in the company and learn as much as I can juggling two kids.  We believe we have a possum or two living in our garage - nasty critters that our landlord is working to take care of.  He has hired a professional and I'm super excited about no longer cringing each time I open the garage door at night.  The weather has been MUCH nicer this winter than last and we have been enjoying ourselves immensely.  For the first time when we flew back to Florida from Utah after Christmas - it felt like we were flying home.
